Thank you for considering becoming a feline foster parent. We do not have a shelter. We can't rescue cats in need without foster homes. You don't need prior experience with cats or fostering to become a foster parent, although experienced cat volunteers are welcome! We match the foster cat with your level of experience and your home environment (e.g., other pets, children, work and travel schedules). While residing in a foster home, all Angela's Angels cats will have been: 1.) examined by a vet, 2.) tested for feline AIDs/leukemia, 3.) given age appropriate vaccines, 4.) treated for fleas and other parasites as well as for other conditions, as needed. 4.) be spayed or neuterd (if old enough). Its common for foster cats to require follow up vet care while in foster care (at Angela's Angels expense). All vet apt. need to be approved with Angela's Angels Cat Rescue, prior to taking the cat/kitten to a vet.
Once you submit your application, an Angela's Angels official will contact you to discuss our fostering program and our adoption policies and procedures in greater detail. In becoming a foster parent, you are agreeing to abide by our foster care and adoption policies and procedures.
Angela's Angels will keep your current cats & kitten free of fleas and de wormed while you foster for us.
Fostering responsibilities include:
Providing a safe and loving (indoor only) temporary home.
Providing basic supplies such as litter boxes,cat litter, food and other everyday supplies. (Angela's Angels will provide food when they have the resources to do so)
Monitoring the cat's health, seeking authorization from Angela's Angels for follow-up medical care (at Angela's Angels expense)
Monitoring the cat's behavior and seeking advice from Angela's Angels, when needed.
Following Angela's Angels recommendations on socializing and integrating the cat (or isolating the cat) within your household, as appropriate.
Angela's Angels Cat Rescue will do a home visit prior to approving any applications for foster homes.
